Contractor Induction Checklist

Before finalizing any contracts with third parties, it’s important to double check you’ve properly documented everything. This is especially true for environmental, health, and safety compliance purposes.

For example, imagine that one of your contractors crashed a forklift resulting in a fatality. During the incident investigation, OSHA determined that you never verified whether the contract employees received proper training.

Or maybe there was a massive production slowdown because a contract unknowingly interfered with a critical process.

Providing and receiving the necessary documentation is essential for ensuring that both you and your contractors are protected from compliance issues if something were to happen.
