Trailer Safety Inspection Checklist

Regular vehicle inspections are critical for the safety of drivers and the cargo they transport. OSHA maintains regulations for the loading and unloading of trucks, but you need to ensure the equipment is safe for workers to enter.

This simple checklist covers the basics of both the truck and its attached trailer. All you have to do is check the functionality of things like the brake systems, lights, etc., as well as the exterior condition of the trailer.

Use your notes to schedule repairs, preventative maintenance, and more. And don’t forget to log each trailer inspection should you need it for an investigation.
