Forklift Inspection Checklist

Inspecting powered industrial trucks is critical for the protection of workers who drive them. For daily inspections, you should mostly be looking for damage and structural issues that affect functionality and safety. For more in-depth inspections, you also want to look for minor issues that can impact these areas down the road.

This simple checklist covers more basic areas of forklift safety like cleanliness, functionality, and major safety issues. You can add or remove line items depending on how in-depth you want to go in your inspections as well.

Store these checklists digitally using EHS data management software or safely file paper copies within your facility. By recording the equipment ID number, you’ll have a historical record of all checks for that forklift if you need them for any investigations or audits.
