EHS Training » Distillation

Let’s talk about distillation training! Distillation is the process used to separate the substances composing a mixture. It involves a change of state, that of a liquid to gas, and then the subsequent condensation back to a liquid. The process was probably first used in the production of alcoholic beverages.

The use of distillation on fermented solutions produced distilled beverages with higher alcohol content. Refined methods of distillation are used in many industries, including the petroleum and petrochemical industries.
